Kate thought being eight was great but thinks nine is fine!
Her Harry Potter birthday party was a huge hit. She invited some friends from school (including two boys!) in addition to our usual crowd.
Once everyone had been sorted (using a "sorting hat"), we played games like Quidditch, Who's Hedwig?, and a treasure hunt for the sorcerer's stone. We finished with a bubbling potion punch and cake at Hog's Head pub. For those who aren't up on their Harry Potter lexicon, read the books - they are really good.
